POSITION TITLE:   Inside Sales - Exports
JOB CLASSIFICATION:   Full-Time, Exempt
COMPENSATION:   Hourly: $22 - $30
REPORTS TO:   General Manager
LOCATION(S):   Corporate Office (Kirkland, WA)

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The ideal candidate is a sales professional who not only understands the products but also understands the customers and the environments that they are selling into. The Inside Sales Associate is a member of the Latin America Sales Team with the responsibility to achieve business sales goals. This team includes outside sales staff, manufacturers reps, sales administration, and Senior Sales Managers. The Inside Sales Associate will be a key contact for our Latin American dealers to help handle and coordinate all their requests, prospect assigned opportunities, support government bids and contracts, and identify third party products and applications to achieve communication solutions. The combination of these efforts will differentiate Icom America from the competition and set the highest standards in the communications industry. Will primarily work with export products and cross-train with domestic products as well.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a primary contact for small to medium sized dealers, building business relationships with these accounts as a key point of contact for any company related issues.

  • Makes outbound calls to dealers to continuously strengthen our business relationships, increase brand awareness by providing information on current sales promotions, new products, shipping status updates, etc.

  • Collaborates with the sales management team to help achieve territory sales targets, utilizing feedback from dealers and manufacturer reps.

  • Receives calls/emails from dealers and works to establish a consultative dialogue to add value to all interactions.

  • Works with our direct sales team to make customer contact, prospect new opportunities, including direct customers and government accounts.

  • Plans daily/weekly activities to communicate with customers, manufacturer reps, and dealers under the direction of Senior Sales Manager.

  • Supports and collaborates with Local Territory Channel Managers and other Icom America staff, share information and best practices, problem-solve.

  • Completes required sales, forecasting, and call reports on time. Communicates regularly with the Sales Manager on status updates or when issues arise, and identify market trends to assist the Product Planning Team. Utilizing and updating CRM with this relevant information.

  • Receive and process verbal, faxed and e-mailed dealer purchase orders. Complete related paperwork and follow up as needed to ensure a smooth flow of product to our customers. Provide customers with product information, availability, pricing, and current promotions. Ability to make suggestions, which result in improved order completeness and customer satisfaction. Interface / communicate with other departments and individuals on a frequent basis to ensure a smooth order flow as well as timely and complete solutions to customer service issues.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

COMPUTER SKILLS – Strong computer skills to analyze data and develop strategies. Knowledgeable and skill in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Adobe and Web Ex. Ability to create presentations that link multiple applications.

PERSONALITY - High-energy, strong work ethic, good sense of humor, positive outlook. Adaptable to changes, work well under pressure, enthused by challenges. Winning personality and ability to develop rapport and relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must speak Spanish with fluency and proficiency.

  • This is primarily an in-office position with contact made via phone/email.

  • Must be able to travel internationally as needed up to two time a year (not expected within the first year of hire).

  • Professional sales and/or marketing skills; excellent verbal and written communications skills; professional demeanor; presentation and public speaking abilities.

  • Ability to focus on details, executes strategies, be flexible yet decisive, and build strong working relationships with peers and customers.

  • Ability to travel once per Quarter when required to attend sales meeting/dealer visit or trade show.
