FCC Narrowbanding Mandate

Time is up. Now what?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) narrowbanding mandate is now in effect. All public safety and business radio users must be operating systems with minimum 12.5 kHz efficiency technology. Users operating noncompliant systems could face FCC penalties such as admonishment, heavy fines and even loss of license.

Find out what’s next for narrowbanding after January 1, 2013. Read Icom’s Frequently Asked Questions for users who haven’t narrowbanded yet or want to take narrowbanding to the next level.
