Location: Mt Seymour, North Vancouver, BC, Canada (3500'ASL) Repeater Coverage: Outstanding coverage of Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley Communities and much of Whatcom County, WA. Repeater Type: Gateway ETA end April 2007 Trust Server: D-STAR Monitor: Repeater Information: The BCFMCA (British Columbia Frequency Modulation Communications Association) in conjunction with the BCWARN (BC Wireless Amateur Radio Network) are pleased to announce the commissioning of a new D-Star repeater system in the Vancouver, BC area. Located on Mt Seymour at 3500' ASL, this site has outstanding coverage of the major population centres in SW BC and NW WA and will be a tremendous asset for Emergency Communications in the area in addition to its use by the local amateur community. The VHF repeater is operational now and initial reports indicate coverage is excellent. The UHF, 1.2g data and voice as well as the Gateway will be commissioned over the next 3 - 4 weeks. This brings the total number of D-Star repeater in British Columbia to 3, including VA7ICM (A,B,C) in Surrey BC and VE7VAS (C) (temporary callsign for testing) in Victoria, BC.
