ADD BEFORE FLIGHT™: Visit Icom at 2018 EAA AirVenture

Kirkland, Wash. (July 2018) – Get ready for takeoff! Icom America is attending the 2018 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. From July 23rd to 29th, Icom will be showcasing its complete line of handheld, panel mount, and mobile aviation transceivers in booths 2027 and 2028.

Fly in the right direction with Icom's new A25 Series. A powerful air band VHF radio, the A25 Series expands communication coverage and enhances aircraft safety. Output power has increased to 6W (PEP). Plus, its easy-to-use interface and large 2.3-inch LCD display combine to provide stress-free programing and easy in-flight operation. Choose between two versions, NAV/COM or COM only.

The A25 series is full of features that are on a pilot's must-have list. The "Flip-Flop" channel feature allows pilots to store the last 10 channels used, and easily switch between them. The large LCD display provides a user-friendly, graphic screen. Select night mode for easy viewing in dark environments. The A25 series also includes a large 2350mAh LI battery, providing up to 10.5 hours of operating time.

The navigation features in the A25N will change the way pilots fly. Design flight plans with an Android™ or iOS™ device and import them into the A25N with the Bluetooth© feature. While using GPS, the waypoint NAV will guide pilots to their destination. Up to 10 flight plans and 300 waypoints can be stored in the A25N. Other navigational features, like VOR indicators, can help keep a pilot's heading precise and alert them if they divert from course. All these functions and more increase safety in the air.

Also on display Icom's TSO approved A220 panel mount transceiver is a popular fit with experimental and light sport pilots. It features the latest in easy-to-use functions and cutting-edge technology, including a bright white organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display with a wide 170-degree viewing angle. This feature, combined with a white key backlight and automatic dimmer function, provides easy readability for day and nighttime operation. The A220 also features an automatic squelch function, GPS memory function (external GPS receiver required), intercom, and a D-SUB 25-pin industry connector for easy installation.

Icom equipment will be on the air from amateur radio station W9W operated by the EAA Warbirds of America. They will be on 40 through 10 meters as well as 2 meters and 70 cm during the AirVenture. See our complete line of amateur radio equipment on our website.
