Icom America - 2 way radios

News Release

Icom America is #IcomEverywhere @ Dayton Hamvention 2016

Icom America will be out in force at the 2016 edition of the Dayton Hamvention®, May 20 to 22, 2016, in Dayton, Ohio. The Hamvention is the largest ham radio convention in the world with over 25,000 in attendance in 2015.

Icom will be operating their main booth at #33-37 along with D-STAR and Land Mobile booths at #8-10, both in the HARA Arena. Show hours are 9 AM to 6 PM on Friday, May 20; 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, May 21; and 9 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, May 22.

Watch for the #IcomEverywhere hash tag on social media including Facebook and Twitter as Icom's Max from the Zack and Max Amateur Radio Comic Books will be in the main booth for selfies. Max's impersonators will also be very nearly everywhere promoting Icom products along with the fun of amateur radio.

Icom will have three of their game changing IC-7300 transceivers in their main booth including one operating with the RS-BA1 Remote Control Software that allows the IC-7300 bandscope and waterfall to be shown on a computer display, either nearby or via remote control.

As always, Icom will be supporting several events with donations of equipment including the IC-7300, IC-7100, IC-718, IC-2300H, IC-2730A, IC-T70A, ID-880H, and ID-51A Plus. This includes the Hamvention prize drawings, D-STAR Class, D-STAR-Event, DX Dinner, Contest Dinner, and the Kansas City Pile-Up. Icom will also be providing the ID-51A Plus to all the presenters at the Youth Forum.

AmateurLogic.TV will be recording live from the booth both Friday and Saturday, May 20-21. Icom will also be providing streaming video coverage of Contest University on Thursday, May 19, from the Crowne Plaza Hotel along with the D-STAR Infocon on Friday, May 20, from the Drury Inn, both in Dayton. For a complete stream schedule visit Icom's official Dayton Hamvention® page.

There will be many "at the show only" special price announcements that will be supported by Icom dealers. In addition, for those who purchase the IC-7300, IC-7600, IC-7700 or IC-7851 at the show, they can stop by the Icom booth for special caps, t-shirts, and other items. This is only for purchases at the show and while supplies last.

If you're at the Dayton Hamvention this year, make sure you stop by one or all of the Icom booths and take a selfie with Max. Or, just watch for #IcomEverywhere on social media.
