Icom Showcases Avionics Radio Solutions at 2015 EAA AirVenture

Icom America is attending the 2015 EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis. The two-way radio manufacturer will be exhibiting its new IC-A220 air band VHF panel mount transceiver and other avionics radios. Icom returns as a Silver Level Sponsor for the annual event and will be exhibiting at Booths 2026 and 2027 for the duration of the show, July 20-27.

Icom is showcasing its complete line of handheld, panel mount and mobile aviation transceivers at AirVenture 2015, Booths 2026 and 2027. Products on display include the new IC-A220, which builds upon the company's popular IC-A210 with improved user interface and additional enhancements. The A220 employs a bright white organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display with a wide 170-degree viewing angle. This feature, combined with a white key backlight and automatic dimmer function, provides easy readability for day and nighttime operation. The A220 also features an automatic squelch function, GPS memory function (external GPS receiver required), intercom and an D-SUB 25-pin industry connector for easy installation.

Commonly known as "The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration," this year's AirVenture will welcome Icom and over 800 commercial exhibitors. In years past, the Experimental Aircraft Association's event has accommodated over 500,000 attendees and 10,000+ aircraft through Oshkosh's Wittman Regional Airport.
