Icom Returns to Dayton Hamvention®, Showcases Latest Products and Provides Live Webcasts During 2015 Event

            

Icom America is exhibiting at the 2015 Dayton Hamvention® from May 15-17 at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The amateur radio manufacturer is displaying its new HF, mobile and handheld radios announced earlier this year. Icom is also streaming video of show events on their website at www.icomamerica.com/dayton2015. Dayton attendees are encouraged to stop by the Icom Booths HA0008 through HA0010 and Booths HA0033 through HA0037.

Icom products on display at this year's Hamvention include the company's new flagship radio, the IC-7851. Features include an impressive reciprocal mixing dynamic range of 110dB, a 1.2 kHz optimum roofing filter, new local oscillator design and other enhancements to phase noise and spectrum scope. Other new products include the IC-2730A analog mobile with Bluetooth capabilities, and the ID-51A PLUS D-STAR handheld with DV/FM repeater functionality.   • Contest University (CTU) 2015 on Thursday, May 14: Icom is a premier sponsor for the annual contesting workshop, which takes place one day before Hamvention opens. Event details are available online at www.contestuniversity.com.
  • D-STAR InfoCon 2015 on Friday, May 15: Icom will live stream the 3-hour morning event from Dayton's Drury Inn. All registered class participants are eligible to win an Icom ID-51A 50th Anniversary Limited Edition handheld. Event details are available online at www.dstarinfo.com.
  • Antenna Forum on Friday, May 15: This afternoon event moderated by Tim Duffy K3LR will be streamed from Hara Arena (Room 1). Speaker list and topics are available online.
  • Youth Forum on Saturday, May 16: This morning moderated event by Carole Perry WB2MGP will be streamed from Hara Arena (Room 2). Speaker list and topics are available online.
  • AmateurLogic.TV (ALTV) on Saturday, May 16: A live episode of ALTV will be broadcast directly from Icom's Dayton booth. Show hosts George Thomas W5JDX, Tommy Martin N5ZNO, and Peter Berrett VK3PB will be in attendance.
