Icom America Inc Creates New Job Positions in Land Mobile Division, focuses on Local, Technical Support


Icom America announces a strategic realignment of its Land Mobile Division. The organizational changes are effective immediately and reflect the company's increased focus on technical education and customer service across multiple vertical markets. These efforts will allow Icom to engage more with its dealer network and customers at a concentrated and local level.

"Communication solutions are increasingly complex and integrated," states Nick Pennance, Icom America Senior Manager for Solutions. "Bolstering our technical presence closer to our customers positions Icom to strengthen the dealer and customer relationships."

Icom is increasing the number of territories in the U.S. staffed with local Technical Channel Managers to support its innovative land mobile and IP products in a manner not possible previously. Technical Channel Managers promote Icom products and education on IDAS™ Digital, P25 and IP radio technologies. They will also offer local sales support to Icom's dealers and customers. Additionally, Icom introduces the Business Development Manager whose role will focus on educating clients and identifying communication solutions in various markets.

Icom also establishes a new technical training department. This department is dedicated to understanding current and emerging technology, and to providing technical instruction to internal teams, representatives, dealers and direct customers. To increase higher levels of customer support and technical expertise to its network, Icom is also developing educational in-person and virtual training sessions.
