Icom Showcases New Digital Land Mobile Radios at IWCE 2013
Icom America, leading manufacturer of two-way radios and system solutions provider, is exhibiting at the 2013 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE). The weeklong conference will be held at Nevada's Las Vegas Convention Center with exhibits open March 13-14. Icom is a premier partner for the event and will showcase its latest offerings in IDAS™ and P25 communications technology at Booth #371.
Icom provides two-way radio options and system solutions for government, public safety, utilities, transportation and other enterprises. The company’s
Icom Digital Advanced System, commonly known as IDAS™, utilizes NXDN™ common air interface to provide twice the capacity and spectral efficiency of 12.5 kHz narrowband technology. Icom's P25 Radios offer interoperable communications for public safety, first responders and emergency medical services.

IWCE is sponsored by Penton Media and will host Icom alongside roughly 330 exhibitors. Approximately 7,500 technology buyers are expected to attend and represent state/federal agencies, law enforcement, IT departments, facilities management and other business entities. A special IWCE keynote address is scheduled on Wednesday, March 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. A networking reception and job fair are also scheduled during the show.
Throughout the week, the conference will hold panel discussions as well as half-day and full-day workshops. Icom America Vice President Chris Lougee is speaking at the "Project 25 Foundations and System Interface Updates for 2013" session on Monday, March 11. Participants can learn about the latest P25 initiatives, system interfaces and related communications equipment. Icom America is also participating in a special session conducted in Spanish and Portuguese, held on Wednesday, March 13. The session explores various digital technologies applied to next-generation communications.
