Icom America Exhibits Avionic Radio Solutions at SUN 'n FUN 2012
BELLEVUE, WA – Icom America is attending the 38th Annual SUN 'n FUN International Fly-in & Expo in Lakeland, Florida. SUN 'n FUN 2012 will take
place on the south side of Lakeland Linder Regional Airport from March 27 to April 1. Icom will be exhibiting at Booths D-046 and D-047 and offering SUN 'n FUN
2012 participants who buy an Icom radio their choice of a free Icom-branded hat or emergency kit.
"Icom delivers innovative solutions to the avionic industry," says Icom America National Avionic Sale Manager. "Whether you're a seasoned
pilot or simply starting out, Icom's line of handheld, panel mount and ground based communications provides reliability and durability--the qualities necessary
for safe flight."
As a repeat SUN 'n FUN exhibitor, Icom will display an assortment of products including its celebrated A24 handheld radio. Simple one-handed operation
combined with clearly labeled buttons, backlit keypad and large display makes this handheld easy to use, even in nighttime conditions. A popular choice among
pilots, the A24 handheld utilizes VOR navigation functions for accurate piloting from one destination to another. Student pilots benefit from Icom's A14 model,
a compact and lightweight handheld with rugged MIL-STD 810 construction. The A14 handheld has approximately 18 hours of operating time and provides 700mW loud
audio-useful in high-noise cabin and tarmac environments. SUN 'n FUN 2012 patrons who purchase the A24, A14 or any other Icom radio will also receive their
choice of a free hat or emergency kit (while supplies last). To participate in the exclusive promotion, attendees are required to submit proof of purchase at
Icom's Booths D-046 and D-047.
Dubbed the "Spring Break for Pilots," SUN 'n FUN offers a wide array of activities for veteran and beginner pilots, airplane builders and aviation
enthusiasts. An outside campus and four dedicated hangars will host Icom and 500+ other exhibitors to an expected 160,000 to 170,000 visitors. Headlining event
attractions include United States Air Force (USAF) Thunderbirds airshow performances and tours of the Commemorative Air Force's "FiFi," a rare B-29
Superfortress aircraft. Experienced instructors will lead forums and workshops such as an Inspection Authorized Renewal and A&P Awards Program, a FAA-approved
course that may be credited toward the annual IA renewal requirements. Live music, movies showings, fireworks and other programs are scheduled in the evenings.
Demo flights, showcase fly-bys and a hot-air balloon launch also take place during the week.
