POSITION TITLE:   System Fulfillment Manager
REPORTS TO: Technology and Solutions Engineering Manager


The Systems Fulfillment Manager works directly with the Icom sales and solutions design teams to achieve Systems sales goals. Supports the Icom sales team, direct customers and dealers with LM Systems technical support, system design and OEM product integration. Leads the team to build complete customized Icom solutions including assembly, testing and installation of "turn key" systems for both government agencies and Icom dealers. Provides direct leadership to Systems Fulfillment technical staff members.


  • Consults and collaborates with the Systems Solutions Designer, Sales Managers, Technical Sales Managers, Icom America dealers and external customers to support the design and delivery of systems solutions that both meet and exceed our customer’s expectations and achieve the Land Mobile sales goal.

  • Assists with bid preparation, technical advice and makes recommendations. Coordinates with operations staff, on a daily basis, to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of Systems products.

  • Supporting Systems Designers with detailed customer engineered solution designs, installation and/or system integration plans for LMR communications networks.

  • Build and nurture relationships with 3rd party suppliers related to system equipment, investigate, evaluate and recommend new products and applications to enhance the product portfolio.

  • Responsible for ensuring on time delivery of system builds and installations; applies performance standards for measuring quality and progress.

  • Manages a group of Systems Technologist and Technicians to achieve defined goals such as daily and monthly output schedules, quality levels, etc.

  • Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas related to staffing, scheduling, tooling, and production line arrangement. May direct maintenance of facility and equipment.

  • Supervise employee workforce directly or through the use of work leads. Conducts performance appraisals, establishes employee goals, and guides staff to grow in their position. Ensures workforce is properly trained.

  • Develops production improvement plans that impact efficiency and productivity; develops recovery plans in case goals are missed; identifies new sources for key equipment and products.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


  • EXPERIENCE – 5 years of demonstrated success in a leadership capacity as Site-System Technician, System Support Specialist, or System Integrator. Contacts already established within the industry.

  • TECHNOLOGY - RF wireless technology, commercial, and consumer products. Mobile voice and data communications, computer controlled RF products, Two-way radio repeaters, base stations, scanners, and receivers. In-depth knowledge of various Land Mobile System architectures, including NXDN, IDAS, P25, LTR, Passport, MPT1327, T1, Telco, microwave and associated platforms.

  • SERVICE EXPERTISE – Proper use of signal generators, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and associated equipment. Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams, flow charts and schematics. Diagnostic and repair skills (including excellent soldering and assembly techniques) are necessary, as is knowledge of the function and performance of the various components used in LM Systems (i.e.; multi couplers, combiners, duplexers, controllers, etc.)

  • Ability to think logically and analyze problems while maintaining perspective of the overall system.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and tenacious follow through are necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural team environment and with people with who English is a second language.

  • Management skills: hiring, training, setting goals, assessing performance, and providing feedback.


  • Associates degree from technical college in electronics; military communications school or equivalent.
