POSITION TITLE:   Human Resources Manager
REPORTS TO: Controller
LOCATION:   Corporate - Kirkland, WA


The HR Manager embodies the core values of the Management Team: empowers their team, problem-solver, good communicator, and leads by example. This position provides direction, collaboration, training and support to all levels of staff on a variety of personnel matters. Manages one (1) other HR team member, the Payroll/Benefits Administrator.


  1. HR leader for Icom America, Icom Canada Holdings Inc., and Icom Brazil; support the senior management team at the corporate headquarters, coach peer managers, and provide guidance to associates.

  2. Manage the Payroll/Benefits Administrator, ensure compensation and benefit information is communicated and implemented timely and accurately, and provide back-up support as needed.

  3. Coach and counsel managers on performance issues, staffing strategies, employee engagement, and change management.

  4. Full cycle recruiting, on-boarding, retention initiatives, and turnover analysis.

  5. Plan Administrator for employee benefits and 401(k) plan; evaluate and recommend plan designs; work with benefits broker to resolve insurance issues; coordinate open enrollment and execute contracts; prepare and submit annual compliance reports.

  6. Perform compensation market analysis, ensure internal and external pay equity, and align compensation with corporate goals.

  7. Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and ad-hoc reports including: EEO-1, OSHA, Headcount, Workers Compensation, Org Charts.

  8. Coordinate immigration visas and green card applications with legal counsel. Work directly with employment counsel on staffing and organizational changes.

  9. Facilitate training and education opportunities for all associates: benefits and 401(k), compliance training, management training.

  10. Develops and updates policies and programs in accordance with corporate, federal, state, and local regulations.

  11. Compliance Manager for the Affirmative Action Plan, Associate Handbook and Safety Manual.

  12. Event coordinator for all-company meetings, gatherings, lunches, and parties.


  1. Bachelors degree in applicable field and professional certification(s) from SHRM &/or HRCI required.

  2. Five plus years of HR experience; supervisory/management experience preferred.

  3. Excellent communication skills, customer service, and team player attributes required.

  4. Self-motivated, analytical, and demonstrates good judgment is essential for success.

  5. HRIS experience with ADP, preferred.
