POSITION TITLE:   Creative Web Specialist
REPORTS TO:   Creative Services Manager
LOCATION:   Kirkland, WA


Create/maintain content – written and visual – for Icom America’s (IA) primary Website. Keep latest company information online and up to date, daily. Create banner ads, basic videos, digital images for all IA online vehicles, including B2B site, as required. Connect with the online community that will entice viewers to return again and again, building the online IA brand image. Encourage users to contact an authorized IA dealer, and assist dealers to improve IA brand presence on their own Websites.


  1. Take ownership of the IA Website content (words, pictures, layout), product pages, campaign landing pages, contest and form creation using Mailchimp and ViralSweep. Blog Admin (Blog post creation, WP Maintenance and Updates)

  2. Call and/or attend relevant meetings, as needed. Takes notes, share ideas, solicit common understanding and approvals

  3. Regularly consult with Creative Services Manager to ensure Corporate Standards and level of creative remains high. Communicate with other members of Creative Department to develop and execute integrated campaigns

  4. Test pages on multiple platforms to ensure proper viewing. Load updates directly to IA server(s)

  5. Team with IT dept as needed to ensure any complex "back-end" coding (comparison charts, forums, etc) maintains corporate image and stays on target for effective marketing. Also partner with IT to establish/follow site architecture, and to generate Web viewing reports upon request

  6. Create and/or orchestrate banner ads as directed by Creative Services Manager. Create new URLs and links as needed to track ad effectiveness. Provide basic usage reports (Google Analytics) on a monthly basis and/or as needed.

  7. Create and/or assist with basic videos for distribution on the IA Web/YouTube-type vehicles using "lowest common denominator" method to work with broadest audience. Knowledge of Live Streaming.

  8. Maintain own project tracking for assigned projects

  9. Other duties and projects as assigned


  1. 3+ years in a commercial creative environment requiring a high level of organization skills

  2. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form

  3. Good writing skills, including ability to proofread, SEO practices

  4. Solid, professional-looking design style: UX/UI understanding

  5. Strong teamwork skills

  6. Work independently, ability to establish and communicate priorities

  7. Meet deadlines, often helping to determine those deadline schedules

  8. Excellent multi-tasker

  9. Calmness under pressure

  10. Keep abreast of latest online trends

  11. Strong working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop) and knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms. Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel. Must have experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, JQuery, Bootstrap, Microsoft Expression Web, ASP.NET, SQL and enterprise level of CMS, such as Umbraco. Familiar with editing code in Brackets, Atom or similar application for front end development. Knowledge of Mailchimp, WordPress and basic digital marketing practices.

  12. Ability and willingness to work additional hours as required

  13. Spanish language skills are a big plus

  14. Must have a high level of interest in "technology" and an insatiable curiosity about…everything


  1. Bachelor degree and equivalent commercial creative work experience
