POSITION TITLE:   Creative Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION

An exciting opportunity for a creative communications professional, knowledgeable in implementing traditional communications and digital marketing campaigns. Our ideal candidate is comfortable wearing different hats throughout the day. A blend of journalism, creativity and content marketing background is perfect for this role. We are looking for creative minds who can conceptualize and execute engaging pieces that resonate with subject matter experts. You will assist the creative/marketing team supporting the Icom brand, maintaining the integrity of the voice for variety of audiences.

Copywriting (40% of job); Content Marketing, HTML eNews (40% of job), Digital production/layout/design, other duties as assigned (20% of job).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate versatile and effective promotional writing while applying marketing strategies for a variety of in-house clients.

  • Write, edit and proofread for company communications: including product copy, brochures, press releases, eNews articles, as well as, general advertising copy.

  • Create original marketing content/collateral to support sales efforts. Source subjects and conduct interviews (e.g. copy for customer case studies, contributed articles, whitepapers, product collateral, presentations, etc.).

  • Research and understand new technologies from a variety of sources, with focus on CRM, Marketing Automation and Lead Generation to build and implement focused email campaigns.

  • Work as a liaison to communicate with dealer/clients, oversee press release distribution, maintain contact lists, and successfully meet deadlines.

  • Layout/production (light design) duties required while tackling multiple project assignments with flexibility.

  • Understanding how customers actually use the company's products and be able to write for a variety of different audiences.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of directly related experience. Journalism/Writing, Content Marketing, Branding, Graphic Design, etc.

  2. Proficient with Creative Suite (CS) for MAC; dual platform (PC/Mac).

  3. Word, Excel (with mail merge skills), PowerPoint, Creative Suite (CS), InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Familiar with WordPress and Digital Marketing platforms.

  4. HTML/CSS understanding.

  5. Must be a team player with strong negotiation skills, takes initiative, independent thinking, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  6. Must be resourceful and resolve problems independently by researching and leveraging available resources.

  7. Excellent communication skills, good organization skills ensuring deadlines are met, and will do whatever it takes to complete a project.

  8. Social Media savvy. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
