POSITION TITLE:   Sales and Marketing Assistant
JOB CLASSIFICATION:   Full-Time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:   Product & Marketing Manager
LOCATION(S):   Kirkland, WA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide dealer and end-user support concerning administrative information on Icom America programs. Work directly with dealers, sales managers, manufacture representatives, and internal division managers to provide administrative support. Maintain, update, and distribute scheduled reports, database information, and process returns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn all policies, practices and operations of all divisions: Land Mobile, Amateur, Marine, Avionic, and Network. Act on behalf of the Product & Marketing Coordinator when they are out of the office. Use good judgment, apply knowledge and experience to make timely decisions during the business day.

  • Provide customer support for all dealers and end-users in all divisions: Land Mobile, Amateur, Marine, Avionic, and Network. Respond in a timely manner to inquiries regarding Icom America programs, end user rebates, N/C requests, and any problems.

  • Manage all consigned equipment requests and database; verify product availability, ship to location, track status, and follow-up on past-due equipment that needs to be returned.

  • Manage try and buy programs; verify product availability, ship to location, track status, work with customer service on invoicing or returned equipment.

  • Administer and maintain Icom America programs for all divisions including: reseller rewards, dealer co-op, end user rebates, no-charge orders, donations, and sales promotions. Respond to inquiries, verify information, and process data in a timely manner. Work with Creative Services and Division Managers to update all dealer program forms annually.

  • Receive and process returned product for credit or replacement with limited approval limit; obtain approvals for items that exceed limit.

  • Event Coordination – secure facility (mostly on-site), arrange hotel and transportation, create agendas, facilitate food and beverages, room set-up, etc. Assist with trade show planning including managing hotel rooms/assignments for IWCE and Dayton, handle IWCE dealer meeting RVSP’s and materials and other trade show duties as assigned.

  • Manage and maintain new dealer information; update and maintain dealer and end user contacts and distribution lists. Compile and retain dealer AES/DES, and Network addendums and unblock equipment in the database.

  • Coordinate all mail-in rebates from start to finish with all necessary departments. This includes GP analysis, bulletin, website update, POP, system set-up, coupons, and announcement.

  • Create and distribute sales bulletins and other communications to dealers. Gather appropriate approvals before sending out. Coordinate internal dissemination of all marketing communications.

  • Manage Land Mobile webinars and education series. Set up and record webinars, maintain all training PowerPoint presentations. Make training presentations B2B ready and update when necessary.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree and 2+ years related work experience.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrate good decision making and sound judgment.

  • Ability to prioritize fluctuating workload; execute tasks through completion; and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Receive and diffuse customer issues while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Superior organizational skills; demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, and follow through are required.

  • Computer skills - knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
