POSITION TITLE:   Customer Service Specialist - Parts
JOB CLASSIFICATION:   Full-Time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:   Customer Service Manager
LOCATION(S):   Kirkland, WA


The Customer Service Specialist supports Icom product sales by receiving and processing order requests while demonstrating exceptional customer service. This position requires a reliable, team-oriented person with a 'can-do' attitude.


  • Receive and process phone, fax, and e-mail dealer purchase orders for Icom products, specifically parts. Provide price, availability, part number, and other information as requested.
  • Work with other departments on a frequent basis to ensure smooth order flow, as well as timely and complete solutions are provided on customer issues.
  • Review potential dealer profiles; log the information into the Account Set Up spreadsheet; send out new dealer applications via email; obtain proper approvals before sending the information to our Credit department for completion of the account.
  • Provide administrative support for return authorizations to ensure that requests and procedures are properly followed before authorization is granted.
  • Act as the warranty administration back-up. Review warranty service claim forms; check for accurate and complete information including part numbers, price, labor rate, and warranty date entries.
  • Support the credit administration overflow by processing memos, pro-forma invoices, backorder release, blanket order processing, and responding to e-mail and voicemail requests from both dealers and internal staff.
  • Provide Front Desk coverage on a daily basis for breaks and lunches.
  • Provide coverage for parts queue.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Customer service experience required; demonstrated order processing required.
  • Accurate data entry in a fast pace, high volume environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated customer satisfaction; and teamwork skills required.
  • Ability to self-direct daily priorities; meet time-sensitive deadlines; and manage multiple tasks.
  • Organization skills; strong attention to detail; and positive attitude required.
